TATHMINI YA MCHANGO WA VYOMBO VYA HABARI VYA KICHINA KATIKA KUKUZA NA KUENEZA KISWAHILI

Vyombo vya habari vya Kichina vimekuwapo katika eneo la Afrika Mashariki tangu miaka ya 1960. Redio China Kimataifa (CRI) ilianza matangazo yake kwa lugha ya Kiswahili nchini Tanzania mnamo Septemba 1961. Ili kupata wafanyakazi wa Kichina walio na uwezo wa Kiswahili, lugha ya Kiswahili ilianza kufundishwa kama somo katika Chuo cha Utangazaji cha Beijing. Hadi sasa idhaa ya Kiswahili ya CRI inatangaza katika lugha ya Kiswahili. Wasimamizi wengi wa idhaa hii ni Wachina na wanakimudu Kiswahili vilivyo. Katika miaka ya hivi karibuni, hususani kuanzia mwaka 2011, vyombo vya habari vya Kichina vinavyotangaza katika lugha ya Kiswahili vimeongezeka. Baadhi ya hivi vyombo ni Shirika la Habari la Xinhua (Kupitia runinga yake ya CNC mtandaoni), shirika la runinga la CCTV (mtandaoni) na kampuni ya usambazaji wa mawimbi ya StarTimes. Tangu ongezeko hili lishuhudiwe, hakujakuwapo na utafiti wa kuonesha ni kwa njia gani vyombo hivi vimechangia katika ukuzaji na uenezaji wa lugha ya Kiswahili. Makala hii ililenga kufafanua ni kwa njia gani vyombo vya habari vya Kichina vimechangia katika kukuza na kueneza lugha ya Kiswahili. Ili kufanikisha lengo hili, mbinu mbalimbali za utafiti zilitumiwa. Makala mbalimbali zilisomwa na kuchanganuliwa kwa kina. Vilevile, vipindi na matangazo kadhaa yanayopeperushwa katika vyombo hivi yalichanganuliwa. Mwishowe, wafanyakazi wa baadhi ya vyombo hivi walihojiwa. Matokeo ya utafiti huu yaliwasilishwa kwa njia ya ufafanuzi.
