Ushirikiano wa wataalamu kutoka maeneo mbalimbali ya dunia ni muhimu kwa taaluma za Kiswahili ambazo zinachangia kwa kiasi kikubwa katika ukuaji wa lugha ya Kiswahili na kuenea kwake duniani. Katika Kongamano lililofanyika katika Chuo Kikuu cha Dar es Salaam, mwishoni mwa mwaka wa 2017, wadau kutoka sekta mbalimbali walishiriki na kujadili mchango wa kila tasnia katika kukiendeleza na kukiimarisha Kiswahili. Kongamano lilijadili jinsi kila tasnia ilivyochangia na inavyoendelea kuchangia kwa namna tofautitofauti ukuzaji wa lugha ya Kiswahili na jinsi ambavyo Kiswahili kilichangia na kinaendelea kuchangia kustawisha tasnia husika. Mawasilisho, mazungumzo, na mijadala iliyofanyika iliwasaidia washiriki kuanza kutafakari juu ya uundaji wa dira ya ukuzaji endelevu wa Kiswahili na ustawi endelevu wa jamii katika karne ya 21 kwa manufaa ya vizazi vya sasa na vijavyo.
